The T20 World Cup 2024 is right around the corner, and cricket fans around the world are excited for the extravaganza to begin. While the majority of the fans will enjoy the action from their home, a bunch of people have also planned to watch their favourite teams in action right from the stadium. The tournament will begin on June 02, and will see a total of 20 teams participating, thereby attracting a lot of fans to the venue for witnessing the action live.

The clash between India and Pakistan is one of the most sought-after games in the tournament. The game is scheduled to be played at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on June 09 and the hype for the arch-rivals’ encounter is more than ever. Fans from both the countries have booked their tickets to the marquee clash, despite them being on the expensive side.

To experience the game live from New York, fans need to spend US $ 2,500 (INR ~200,000) per person, which means a group of four will end up spending at least INR 850,00 easily. However, with the tickets at the official site sold out, many fans are looking to get their hands on the ticket in the resale market. The secondary prices of the tickets have been skyrocketed to as high as INR 1.84 crore for one ticket.

A similar case was experienced during the ODI World Cup 2023 as well, when a single ticket was sold as expensive as INR 57 lacs for the India-Pakistan game at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad. The final game at the same venue also saw the ticket prices soar like anything in the illegal black market. However, fans didn’t hesitate a bit to pay extra and hefty amount of money, just to witness the spectacle from the stands.
