Suryakumar Yadav relishes Premier League experience at Emirates Stadium

Star Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav, who recently led India to a whitewash in T20I series against Sri Lanka, has been since enjoying his time off from cricket.

After a chaotic past few months of cricket for the Indian T20I skipper, including IPL 2024, the T20 World Cup 2024, and the Sri Lanka series, he has been busy spending his time off in the UK. On Saturday, he posted a couple of stories of his well-deserved vacation away from cricket as he had went to watch a Premier League game between Arsenal and Wolves at the Emirates Stadium.

The first story he posted from the iconic venue in London was him sitting on the top deck in the stadium, waving his phone’s camera around covering the field from one end to the other as the plurality of the venue was invested in rejoicing the home team’s first goal, scored by centre-forward, Kai Havertz, in the 25th minute of the first-half. It was Arsenal’s first goal of their Premier League season.

The second one was captured from the same place at full-time, with Arsenal starting off their campaign with a convincing 2-0 win.

Suryakumar to represent Team C in Duleep Trophy 2024/25 

The Board of Control for Cricket in India have shortlisted Suryakumar along with prominent names like Ruturaj Gaikwad (who will be leading the side), Sai Sudharsan, Rajat Patidar, and Umran Malik to represent Team C in the 2024/25 Duleep Trophy.

The red-ball competition will be starting on September 5, and Suryakumar, who has only represented India in a sole Test till now, will be looking to put on some good performances for him to be re-considered in the reckoning with home Test series against Bangladesh commencing in September.

Other eminent Indian internationals who will be partaking in the 61st edition of the Duleep Trophy are Shubman Gill, Riyan Parag, Shreyas Iyer, Washington Sundar, Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja, among others.
