Indian middle-order batter, Suryakumar Yadav, is currently spending his time away from cricket. The pioneering batter recently put out a story on Instagram wherein it could be quite evidently be deduced that the batter was enjoying his time reliving MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, a biography of erstwhile Indian skipper, Mahendra Singh.
The famous film was released in 2016, and grabbed eyeballs and recognition from all around due to how well they portrayed the entire journey of Dhoni – a proper rags-to-riches tale loaded with authenticity and Dhoni’s natural personality and life events, as enacted by late star actor, Sushant Singh Rajput.

Although Suryakumar and Dhoni never played internationals together, as the luminary wicketkeeper-batter’s last game for the nation came in the 2019 World Cup, roughly a year and a half before Yadav’s debut. The ace batter has always been a great admirer of Dhoni’s on-field prowess as well as his principles of leadership and personality traits, as revealed by him during quite a few interviews in the past.
Suryakumar and Dhoni have played against each other, though, mainly in the Indian Premier League for their respective franchises they’ve represented over the years.

Suryakumar recently led India to a 3-0 series victory against Sri Lanka. He also starred in India’s T20 World Cup 2024 triumph by scoring 199 runs in the eight innings he featured in. With him having played just the one Test in his international career so far, it seems highly likely regarding the number remaining unchanged. However, Suryakumar’s next assignment is anticipated to be during the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh.
