Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will battle it out against Delhi Capitals (DC) in Match 35 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). SRH are coming after bettering their record for the highest team total (287/3) in their last match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Meanwhile, DC will be confident after bowling out Gujarat Titans (GT) for below 90 runs – the first team this season to inflict an all-out below 100 runs on the opposition.

Both teams have dominated in different departments in their previous matches and are coming on the back of impressive wins. Having made their IPL debut in the 2013 season SRH are among the teams who have lifted the coveted trophy at least once. They beat RCB in the 2016 final. On the other hand, DC (formerly Delhi Daredevils), who have been a part of the league since its inception, are yet to win a title.

The 2016 IPL winning captain David Warner is second on this list with 448 runs from 15 innings, followed by former opener Shikhar Dhawan with 357 runs from 11 innings.

Top Wicket-Takers for SRH against DC

Veteran India pacer Bhuvaneshwar Kumar tops the list of highest wicket-takers for SRH against DC. Known for his remarkable swing operations with the new ball, the right-arm seamer took 17 wickets in 18 matches. Former spinner Rashid Khan is second on the list with 15 wickets from 12 matches, followed by former pacer Dale Steyn with nine wickets from five matches.

 SRH’s highest total against DC in IPL history

SRH posted their highest score against DC in the 47th match of the 2020 season in Dubai. Batting first, they posted a huge total of 219/2 on the back of half-centuries from David Warner and Wriddhiman Saha. In reply, DC were bowled out for 131 in 19 overs to hand SRH a massive win of 88 runs.

SRH’s lowest total against DC in IPL history

SRH’s lowest total against DC was in the 2019 season when they were bowled out for 116 runs while chasing a target of 156. David Warner and Jonny Bairstow put on a 72-run opening partnership, but what followed was a massive collapse as none of the other batters reached double figures.

– 219/2 by SRH in Dubai in 2020 IPL is their fifth-highest score and sixth-highest against DC in league history.

– SRH scored just 116 runs in Hyderabad in 2019, their fifth-lowest total in the IPL.

– In the aforementioned match from 2019, Jonny Bairstow inflicted 3 dismissals as a keeper which is the joint second-most both for SRH and against DC.

– The unbeaten partnership of 176 between Kane Williamson and Shikhar Dhawan in Delhi in the 2018 IPL is the highest partnership for the second wicket for SRH. It is the second-highest partnership for any wicket against DC. It is the second-highest for any wicket for SRH.
