India batter Prithvi Shaw has been a major talking point among pundits for several months now. The youngster broke into the ranks as a promising talent but has experienced a downfall for the ages recently. Going unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction, Prithvi Shaw has been long dropped from the Indian team as well.

Representing Mumbai in domestic cricket, Shaw has been unable to perform at that level as well. Recently, an MCA official took centre stage and talked about Shaw’s attitude, which has been lacking.

“In the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, we were playing with 10 fielders as we were forced to hide Prithvi Shaw. The ball would pass near him, and he would barely make an effort to get to it. His fitness, discipline, and attitude are poor. There cannot be different rules for different play,” the MCA official had said.

Seeing the MCA official’s comments, former India cricketer Jatin Paranjape took to social media and defended Shaw. He opined that this could have been Shaw’s final season with Mumbai and it seems like the MCA does not want to help the right-hander.

“Such loose comments from sources within the MCA are truly unfortunate. Looks like they are not interested in helping Shaw out. What do they mean by “babysit”? This will definitely be his last season as a Mumbai player,” Jatin Paranjape tweeted.

Too many people have full opinions, with half the facts: Shaw

After the MCA official’s recent remarks, Prithvi Shaw once again managed to catch headlines after he posted a cryptic Instagram story. In his story, Shaw talked about how people tend to talk without knowing each and every fact.

“If you don’t understand it fully, don’t speak on it. Too many people have full opinions, with half the facts. Friyay,” Shaw posted.
