Star Indian cricketers, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, and other cricketers have contributed priceless memorabilia for the “Cricket for a Cause” auction, benefiting the Vipla Foundation. This unique initiative, organized by KL Rahul and his wife Athiya Shetty, offers fans a chance to own a piece of cricket history while significantly impacting underprivileged communities across India.
The Vipla Foundation, with its 36-year legacy of empowering women and children, operates a special school for hearing-impaired and intellectually disabled students. Notably, the auction aims to support this institution by providing quality education to special children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Mana Shetty, Trustee of the Vipla Foundation, emphasizes the significance of this event.
“This is not just an auction; it’s an opportunity for all of us to come together and make a difference. It’s heartwarming to see the cricketing legends come together for such a noble cause. Every item tells a story of passion, hard work, and triumph,” Shetty was quoted as saying by India Today.
“By participating in this auction, you’re not just owning a piece of cricket history—you’re supporting a cause that can change lives. Every contribution counts, and together, we can create a brighter future for so many children and women. Please join us in making it a success,” she further added.
