Sunrisers Hyderabad grabbed a victory from the jaws of defeat against the home team Rajasthan Royals in the 52nd match of the Indian Premier League 2023 on May 7 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Even after putting up a daunting total of 214 runs, the Men in Pink failed to defend it as the visiting party clinched a victory on the ultimate delivery of the game.
What grabbed attention post the match was the hilarious banter between the two teams’ on the microblogging site Twitter. In a reply to Rajasthan Royals’ tweet on skipper Sanju Samson, SRH shared a picture of the umpire signalling no-ball from the game. Notably, Sandeep Sharma’s final delivery of the game was adjudged a no-ball as the visitors got a sigh of relief and saw a ray of hope.
The no-ball cost the hosts big time as Abdul Samad hit a six to finish off the chase in style, when SRH needed four runs to win on the last delivery. After Hyderabad’s victory, Rajasthan Royals posted another Tweet saying “This movie reached the world. So our apology should too… PS: SSS & RRR ”
