The in-form South African side will collide with Bangladesh in the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. Match No. 23 is all set to take place on Tuesday, October 24, at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, in Mumbai. The Proteas are coming on the back of a sensational victory over reigning champions England as they defeated them by a mammoth margin of 229 runs at the very same venue.

Speaking more about that fixture, the Africans batted first and posted a massive total of 399/7 on the board in their allotted 50 overs. Reeza Hendricks, Rassie van der Dussen, and Marco Jansen all struck their respective half-centuries but the star of the show was Heinrich Klaasen. The destructive right-hander hammered 109 off 67 in tough hot conditions in Mumbai. African pacers then rocked England’s batting line-up, as they bundled them out cheaply for just 170.

With six points and a net run rate of +2.212, South Africa is placed in the third position in the table. Meanwhile, the Bangla Tigers won their opening encounter against Afghanistan but since then they have suffered three successive losses. The Asian side will look to put on a better show against a dangerous and strong-looking African side. Regular skipper Shakib Al Hasan, who missed the India game with injury, might return to lead his team. Both sides have managed to win two matches each out of the four played in the marquee tournament.
