‘Sorry DK that was clearly “obstructing the field” ‘ – Tom Moody’s blunt take on Dinesh Karthik’s lucky escape against Delhi Capitals

Royal Challengers Bangalore wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik was deemed extremely lucky by many cricket experts after he survived an ‘obstructing the field’ incident in the game against Delhi Capitals on Saturday, May 6.

Former Sunrisers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody also opined on the same and clearly called out the batter for changing his line while trying to retreat to his crease in anticipation of a throw at his end. Karthik was too early in leaving his crease and as soon as he realised that there was not a run on offer he scampered back to the non-striker’s end.

Tom Moody took to his Twitter account and wrote, “Sorry DK that was clearly “obstructing the field”.
