After having a terrific season in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League, Shubman Gill lost his touch, as he failed to deliver in the World Test Championship finale against Australia and also in the following Test and ODI series against the West Indies. He was struggling in the T20I series as well, but a change in location has done magic for him as the opener hit 77 runs off 47 deliveries in the fourth match to help the Men in Blue win by nine wickets.

Speaking about India’s performance, the former India cricketer, Irfan Pathan, mentioned that the batters were spectacular on the night and it seemed like they would have crossed 200 as well. He also observed that the team has adopted a different strategy on a flat track in the fourth T20I and lauded them for doing so.

“Team India on a flat pitch had a different strategy while bowling at least with the new ball and the way they chased it looked like they would have crossed 200 easily. Well done boys,” Pathan tweeted.

Meanwhile, replying to the same, one of the Twitter users pointed out that Hardik Pandya didn’t bowl in the match and Gill scored another 50 on a flat track. Talking about the same, Pathan lauded Gill and stated that he looked in total control.

“Gill looked good today and in total control,” the 38-year-old mentioned.

Kuldeep, Arshdeep does the job for India with the ball

The surface in Florida wasn’t easy for the bowlers to succeed. On top of that, the Windies batters had a terrific time in the middle in the ongoing T20I series. However, Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav weren’t bothered with their form as the duo was spectacular on the night, helping India restrict them to 178 runs in 20 overs.

The left-arm pacer picked up three wickets while Kuldeep, who is currently the leading wicket-taker of the series picked up two. With the bat, Gill and Jaiswal gave a perfect start as the visiting team won the match pretty comfortably.
