Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) had a good outing with the bat during Match 15 of the Indian Premier League 2024 (IPL 2024) as they posted a massive score of 181/5 after batting first against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock was the top scorer for his side with his marvellous knock of 81 (56) with the help of eight fours and five sixes in his innings.
He was well supported by Nicholas Pooran who slammed an unbeaten 40* off just 21 balls with the help of one four and five sixes, three of which came against Reece Topley in the 19th over. However, it was his third maximum which grabbed the attention as it travelled a whopping 106 metres. The incident took place on the fourth ball of the 19th over as the West Indies batter pulled a short delivery by Topley on the roof of the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

After his onslaught against Topley, Pooran further took on Mohammed Siraj in the last over smashing him for back-to-back sixes. Courtesy of Pooran’s hitting, LSG managed to get 33 runs off the last two overs which propelled their total past 180.
Earlier, De Kock and KL Rahul (20 off 14) got their team off to a great start adding 53 runs for the first wicket off 33 balls. Following Rahul’s dismissal, his opening partner continued his mayhem and got involved in another crucial stand of 56 (30) with Marcus Stoinis (24 off 15).
