Star batter of the Indian cricket team and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Virat Kohli recently gave fans a delightful glimpse into his personal life as he opened up about his daughter Vamika’s budding interest in cricket, leaving everyone wondering if she might follow in her father’s illustrious footsteps.
The veteran batter even spoke about his daughter enjoying swinging the bat. “My daughter has picked up a bat and she is enjoying swinging the bat. But I am not sure. It’s their choice at the end of the day,” Kohli said on the RCB Insider Show.

The 35-year-old shared updates on his family, including his newborn son Akaay. “Baby is good, healthy. Everything is fine, thank you!” he added.

He also touched upon RCB’s comeback in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. “The month of May has been very good. In April, I thought we were going into a very dark place. We found a ray of sunlight in May. We are glad that we made the fans happy again,” Kohli added.

Kohli currently holds the Orange cap with 661 runs in 13 matches. While RCB is gearing up for a crucial clash against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), a match that could potentially be a decider for the fourth spot for the playoffs berth. The match might be the final appearance of MS Dhoni for the franchise.
Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad are the three teams which have confirmed their playoffs qualification so far. With only one spot left, the CSK-RCB clash has become a virtual knockout, with the winner set to claim the final vacant berth.
