Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, accompanied by his wife Anjali Tendulkar and daughter Sara Tendulkar, visited a bat manufacturing factory in Pulwama during their family vacation in Kashmir. The Tendulkar family’s excursion in Kashmir took a memorable stop at the MJ Sports factory located in the Chersoo area of Awantipora in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Tendulkar’s unexpected visit to the factory on Saturday sparked excitement among locals, who were thrilled to catch a glimpse of the legendary batter. The former cricketer took time off from his leisure trip to check out the craftsmanship behind cricket equipment.

At the MJ Sports factory, owned by Mohammad Shaheen Parray, Tendulkar conversed with workers and artisans present there about the techniques and processes. From interacting with the skilled workforce to enjoying a cup of tea with the family members, Tendulkar’s visit was marked by warmth and camaraderie.

“We were busy making bats when a vehicle stopped at our gate. We were pleasantly surprised to find the Little
Master and his family,” Mohammad Shaheen Parray, owner of MJ Sports, was quoted as saying by the Republic.

“He stroked a few bats and was quite pleased with the quality. Tendulkar said he had come to compare the
willow bats with those made of English willow. We requested him to lend his voice in support of the local bats,’ Parray concluded.

During his brief stay at the factory, Tendulkar shared insights from his illustrious career, underscoring the significance of top-quality equipment in the game of cricket.
