Legendary India cricketer Sachin Tendulkar recently lauded 34-year-old differently abled cricketer Amir Hussain from Jammu and Kashmir who captains the Para cricket team of his union territory. Hussain has been playing cricket professionally since 2013 and his cricketing talent was discovered by his teacher who introduced him to Para cricket.

The specially-abled cricketer bats by holding his bat between his shoulder and neck and bowls using his feet. He unfortunately lost both his arms in an accident at his father’s mill at the age of eight. Amir’s grit even caught the attention of Tendulkar who appreciated his love and dedication for the game. He further expressed his wish to meet him and have his name on his jersey.

“And Amir has made the impossible possible. I am so touched watching this! Shows how much love and dedication he has for the game. Hope I get to meet him one day and get a jersey with his name. Well done for inspiring millions who are passionate about playing the sport,” wrote Sachin on his X  handle.
