Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj destroyed South Africa in the second and final Test at Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town. The duo picked up 15 wickets together during the match, which India went on to win by seven wickets. This marked India’s first win in Cape Town, and also they became the first-ever Asian team to register a Test win at the venue.
Siraj, who claimed a six-wicket haul in the first innings, emerged as the Player of the Match in the game. Notably, his excellent bowling spell helped India to bundle out the hosts by a mere 55 in the first innings. While collecting the award, Siraj brought fellow paceman Bumrah as his translator. However, the Indian seamer responded in English to the anchor’s first question itself. Subsequently, the duo looked at each other and began laughing.
