The T20 World Cup 2024 is just over two months away as the mega event is all set to be held in the West Indies and USA from June 01. Ahead of the tournament, there have been widespread talks around India’s squad and captain for the mega event as the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) has been planning to select a young team for the tournament.
However, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah recently ended all the speculations around India’s captaincy in the T20 extravaganza as he revealed that he’s confident that India will win the tournament under the leadership of Rohit Sharma.
“We may have lost the final of the 2023 ODI World Cup. But we won hearts there by winning 10 matches in a row. I am confident that India will win the 2024 T20I World Cup under Rohit Sharma,” said Jay Shah during the unveiling ceremony of Niranjan Shah stadium in Rajkot.
