India will take on South Africa in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados, on (Saturday) June 29. The Men in Blue have remained unbeaten throughout the tournament and are one step away from ending their ICC trophy drought since 2013. The standout performer for India has been Jasprit Bumrah as the bowler has brought his best card out.

Ahead of the final clash, Bumrah highlighted the impact Rohit has on the team as a captain. Speaking of Rohit, the India opener is entering the final on the back of two consecutive match-winning performances against Australia and England respectively. Bumrah added that the Hitman gives ample space and freedom for the bowlers to execute themselves and that has been the major factor in the team’s success.

Rohit Sharma has been absolutely phenomenal. Even in the previous World Cup you know, he has been proactive, he gives a lot of freedom to his players, he lets the players express themselves. When he feels the right time, he shares his own experience during the match. So ya, it feels really great and I feel very happy playing under him and the confidence of the group is also very high,” Bumrah said in a video shared by ICC.
