Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma’s wife, Ritika Sajdeh has reacted to Chennai Super Kings’ (CSK) tributary post on the cricketer’s captaincy. After leading Mumbai Indians (MI) for the past ten years, Rohit Sharma was replaced by Hardik Pandya on December 15 ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season.
CSK shared a video on their social media handle, highlighting Rohit’s captaincy over the years. The 36-year-old captained the Mumbai-based franchise to a record five IPL titles, making him the most successful captain in the history of the tournament, sharing the record with CSK skipper MS Dhoni who has also led the team to five titles.
“2013 ➡️ 2023 : A decade of spirited challenge! Much respect, Rohit!,” CSK captioned the Instagram post. To which Ritika reacted using a yellow heart emoji.

Mumbai Indians appoint Hardik Pandya as captain for IPL 2024
Mumbai Indians named Hardik as captain for the forthcoming IPL season. The ace all-rounder rejoined the Mumbai-based franchise after a high-profile trade from the Gujarat Titans. He served as the captain of the Titans in the previous two IPL editions and led them to win the title in the 2022 season. He is currently recovering from an ankle injury that he sustained during an ICC Cricket World Cup game against Bangladesh.
“It is part of legacy building and staying true to the MI philosophy of being future-ready. Mumbai Indians have always been blessed with exceptional leadership right from Sachin to Harbhajan and Ricky to Rohit, who while contributing to the immediate success have always had an eye on strengthening the team for the future. It is in keeping with this philosophy that Hardik Pandya will assume captaincy of Mumbai Indians for the IPL 2024 season,” said Mahela Jayawardene, Global Head of Performance, MI in a statement.
