India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has been having a fine journey to rehabilitation, giving his all to get back to form. The youngster has been sidelined owing to injuries sustained in a near-fatal car accident in December 2022. Notably, he was ruled out of the Indian Premier League 2023 (IPL) season, and in his absence, David Warner was named Delhi Capitals (DC) captain.

Pant has always kept his followers and loved ones up to date on his rehabilitation and health. He usually provided updates by posting short videos or photos on social media. He last provided an update in March this year, when he uploaded a video on Instagram in which he could be seen walking in a swimming pool as a part of his recovery process.

The cricketer recently took to his official Instagram handle and shared a story in which he was seen at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru as part of his rehabilitation. The 25-year-old cricketer shared a photo of his recovering leg while he was resting on a bed with an attendant in front of him. “Top Man #NCA,” he captioned the Instagram story.

Earlier in April, Pant witnessed the IPL 2023 encounter between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. He arrived at the stadium in a car and then slowly walked towards the stand. Later, he was snapped watching the match from the stands.

In DC’s opening match of the IPL 2023 against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), the team hung their regular skipper’s jersey No. 17 on the roof of the dug-out as a gesture that he is “always with the team in spirit”.

DC currently stands at the bottom of the IPL 2023 points table, having won only two of their seven matches. Their last win came against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on April 24. Meanwhile, both teams will square off again in their upcoming fixture on April 29 in Delhi.
