Kolkata Knight Riders had a dismal campaign in IPL 2023, however, their batter Rinku Singh rose to the limelight with his stupendous performances in the season. The southpaw was the leading run-scorer of the season for KKR with 474 runs to his name at an average of 59.25 and a strike rate of 149.52. After a successful IPL season, the star batter is finally having some time off in Maldives, as he shared some photographs, enjoying his time at the holiday destination.
In the pictures shared, Singh can be seen dressed in shorts as he flaunts his tattoo and six packs with a picturesque background. The pictures soon went viral as fans were excited to see the upcoming cricketing star in a never seen before avatar.
The cricketer took to Instagram to share his photographs and wrote, “Caution: Addictive content ahead.”
Notably, the 25-year-old came into the limelight as he smacked five consecutive sixes in the last over against Gujarat Titans’ Yash Dayal to script an improbable win for KKR during match 13 of the tournament. With his blitzkrieg, he etched his name in IPL history books as chased down 29 runs in the last over i.e. most by any player in the history of the league.

After his breathtaking innings against GT, the southpaw further got another Player of the Match award for his splendid half-century (54 off 43) against Chennai Super Kings during Match 61. He played another mind-boggling innings of 67* off 33 balls against the Lucknow Super Giants in KKR’s last league fixture, to take his team an inch closer to victory. However, KKR fell agonizingly short by just one run of LSG’s total and lost the game.
Thus, post his scintillating show in the IPL, there have been widespread discussions around bringing Singh into the Indian T20I team set-up. Notably, the BCCI is planning to revamp the T20I squad ahead of the T20I World Cup in 2024. The batting sensation has done his bit by performing exceptionally in the grandest T20 league of the world. Now it’s up to the selectors to bring him into the Indian squad.
