The Indian women’s team’s tour of Bangladesh is likely to begin in the first week of July in Mirpur. The Women in Blue will be playing three ODIs and as many T20Is during the tour. Earlier, the series was scheduled to begin in the last week of June as per the Women’s FTP released by the ICC.

However, as per the latest update, it will now start in the first week of July and will take place alongside the white-ball leg of the Afghanistan men’s tour of Bangladesh. The three-match ODI series will also be a part of the 2022-25 ICC Women’s ODI Championship cycle.

The Afghanistan men will lock horns with Bangladesh men in a Test match in Dhaka from June 14-18. Following the end of the Test, they will travel to India for a short series which is yet to be confirmed while Bangladesh will take a break for Eid-ul-Adha.

They will be back in Bangladesh in the first week of July for the white-ball leg in Chattogram (three ODIs from July 5) and Sylhet (two T20Is). The India-Bangladesh women’s series will be coinciding with it and hence the timings of the women’s matches, especially the T20Is, are yet to be finalized.

Meanwhile, the Indian women’s team will be back in action for the first time since their 2023 T20 World Cup semifinal defeat against Australia in February. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side will look to make the most of the tour as there will be a long gap between the Bangladesh tour and their next international series.
