During the audio and trailer launch of MS Dhoni’s debut movie production venture, Let’s Get Married (LGM), the cricketer was at his hilarious best as he openly invited Kollywood star Yogi Babu to join the Chennai Super Kings franchise next season.

Notably, Yogi Babu asked the legendary cricketer if he has any room for him in the mix and to which, Dhoni reminded that since Ambati Rayudu has announced his retirement, there is an empty spot in the team.

The 42-year-old also stated that since Yogi Babu is busy making movies, he might not find enough time and also added that the bowlers bowl really fast in the Indian Premier League, which can eventually hurt him.

“Rayudu (Ambati) is retired. So, we do have a place for you in CSK. I’ll speak to the management. But, you are so busy in films. I’ll tell you, you have to play consistently. They bowl very fast and they bowl to injure you only,” Dhoni mentioned during the launch.

Once IPL started in 2008, I was adopted by Tamil Nadu: Dhoni

The name Chennai Super Kings has become synonymous with MS Dhoni. Under his able leadership, CSK have won five titles in the IPL and with that, they have become the joint-most successful franchise in the history of the competition alongside Mumbai Indians.

Meanwhile, talking about his connection with Chennai, the cricketer said that he was adopted by Tamil Nadu ever since he signed up for the franchise and thus, making his first film in Tamil is just destiny.

“When Sakshi came up with the idea and explained everything, I said we are making it in Tamil and its destiny, which I believe in. My Test debut happened in Chennai, my highest Test score is in Chennai, when it comes to cricket a lot of things happened which I am proud of, it happened in Chennai. Not to forget, once IPL started in 2008, I was adopted by Tamil Nadu,” Dhoni said.
