Ranji Trophy 2024-25 returned for its fifth round as teams embarked on their quest to accumulate important points with the tournament gradually nearing its business end. A lot of intensity was on display from the teams as they tried their best to start the new round on a high.

One of the biggest talking points from Wednesday, November 13, was the return of Mohammed Shami to competitive cricket after being sidelined for a year due to an ankle injury. The 34-year-old represented Bengal as the Anustup Majumdar-led side faced five-time champions Madhya Pradesh in Indore.
