Gujarat Titans (GT), after suffering heartbreak against the Kolkata Knight Riders in their previous game, will now travel to Mohali as they lock horns against Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the match number 18 of the IPL 2023 at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium on 13th April, 2023.

The defending champions, Gujarat Titans will come into the contest after an unexpected loss from their third game of the tournament against KKR. GT, with two wins out of three games, are placed fourth in the IPL points table. Tamil Nadu sensation Sai Sudharsan has been the stand-out performer for GT. He came in as an impact player in the first game, and has aggregated 137 runs in as many as 3 games at a staggering average of 68.50.

He also registered back-to-back fifties in the tournament. All other batters chipped in at different situations as  Shubman Gill scored a fifty in the first game and got off to a good start in the remaining games, while Vijay Shankar scored the fastest fifty in the previous game for GT.

In the bowling department, Rashid Khan has been the key performer, as he has picked up 8 wickets in as many games so far in IPL at a strike rate of 9. GT would be hoping to welcome Dasun Shanaka in the next match to add the depth in both the departments. They would look to bounce back to winning ways.

Punjab Kings, on the other hand, will enter the game after getting hammered by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last game. PBKS, with two wins in three games, are placed at the sixth-place in the points table because of a below par net run-rate. Skipper Shikhar Dhawan was their stand-out player in the batting department, as he has amassed 225 runs at a stupendous average of 225 and has struck at 149 in as many as three games.

Arshdeep Singh and Nathan Ellis have fared well in the bowling department. Kagiso Rabada is likely to make a comeback in the game against GT, to give the extra balance in the bowling department. PBKS would look to bounce back to winning ways as well.
