India head coach Rahul Dravid recently opened up on coaching his son Samit who’s been doing rounds for his sensational performances in junior-level cricket. The 18-year-old played a pivotal role in taking Karnataka to the final of the Cooch Behar Trophy.
The all-rounder has accumulated 370 runs in 7 games at an average of 37.78 and scored three half-centuries. The right-arm seamer has also picked three wickets as well in the competition.
Recently, speaking about coaching his son, Dravid said that he doesn’t coach him as being a parent and a coach is difficult.
“Samit ko coaching karne ki koshish hi nahi karta hu.. Parent aur coach dono Banna mushkil hai.. Parent rehne ki koshish kar rha hu, usme bhi pata nahi mai kya kar rha hu (I do not even try to coach Samit. Being a parent and coach both are tough. I try to stay as a parent. I don’t know what I am doing in that also,),” Dravid told Jio Cinema.
