Pakistan’s bowling all-rounder Nida Dar has become the leading wicket-taker in Women’s T20I cricket with 126 wickets from 123 innings. Dar achieved this rare feat while playing a World Cup match against England in Cape Town on February 21.

Dar claimed the prized scalp of her opposite number Heather Knight. She was leading the Pakistani side in the absence of regular skipper and all-rounder Bismah Maroof.

Batting first, England had posted 213/5 in the allotted 20 overs thus paving the way for the team to achieve victory by a huge margin of 114 runs. Though the result of the match did not go according to Dar’s liking, she did end up creating an individual record for herself.

Meanwhile, the 34-year-old Anisa Mohammed is second in the coveted list of highest wicket-takers with 125 wickets followed by Australia’s Megan Schutt and Ellyse Perry. Both Aussie cricketers have claimed 122 wickets 137 and 94 T20Is respectively.
