Corbin Bosch has been issued a legal notice by the Pakistan Cricket Board for breaching a contractual obligation in relation to his involvement in the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League. The South African all-rounder was originally picked to represent Peshawar Zalmi in PSL 2025.

On March 8, the 30-year-old was drafted by Mumbai Indians as a replacement of Lizaad Williams, who was ruled out due to injury. Consequently, Bosch withdrew his name from the PSL.

A press release was disseminated by the Pakistan Cricket Board on the same issue. It was essentially a formal statement directed at Bosch to explain his sudden exclusion from the PSL to the administrative body, as failure to comply could result in serious consequences.

“The legal notice was served through his agent, and the player has been asked to justify his actions of withdrawing from his professional and contractual commitments. The PCB management has also outlined the repercussions of his departure from the league and expects his response within the stipulated time frame. The PCB will not make any further comments on the matter,” stated the release, as quoted by Cricbuzz.

Bosch last featured for South Africa in their Champions Trophy 2025 warm-up game against Pakistan Shaheens last month. The final decision of the cricketer remains to be seen. Incidentally, he was a part of MI Cape Town in the previous SA20 season which concluded last month.

While the IPL is scheduled to commence on March 22, the PSL will kickstart proceedings on April 11. However, both the tournaments will conclude on Sunday, May 25.

Bosch has played three internationals for South Africa – one Test and two ODIs, scoring 136 runs and picking up seven wickets.
