Indian cricket team has been having a dominant run in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 as they’ve won all of their six matches so far. The Rohit Sharma-led side thumped the defending champions England by a massive 100-run margin on Sunday, October 29 in Lucknow to seal their spot on the top of the points table.

Having won all of their games so far, India’s place in the semi-final of the tournament is almost certain. However, their opponents in the semis will be determined at the end of the league stage when all ten teams will have played all of their nine matches.

Notably, teams finishing on the first and the fourth spots will lock horns in the first semi-final while the teams finishing on the second and third spots will take on each other in the second semi-final. Furthermore, there will also be a reserve day in place for both the semi-finals. As India are inching closer to sealing their semi-final berth, fans are curious to know at which venue will the Men-in-Blue play their semi-final.

India will play the final in Mumbai irrespective of their position on Points Table

Notably, while announcing the schedule of the World Cup 2023, the ICC (International Cricket Council) had clearly mentioned that if India qualifies for the semi-final, they will play in the first semi-final on November 15 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai irrespective of where they finish on the points table.

However, if the Rohit Sharma-led side end up meeting Pakistan in the semi-final, the two teams will lock horns in the second semi-final on November 16 at Eden Gardens Kolkata due to Pakistan’s reluctance to play in Mumbai.
