Ravi Ashwin was seen expressing admiration for Mohammed Shami’s historic seven-wicket haul by kissing his hand in the dressing room. Shami achieved this remarkable feat during the first semifinal of the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup between India and New Zealand at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on November 15.
Notably, the team led by Rohit Sharma, sought redemption as they convincingly outplayed the Kiwis by 70 runs. With this victory, India secured a spot in the final, where they will face the winners of the second semifinal scheduled to be played on November 16 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
