The action will continue in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 as South Africa and Netherlands will take on each other in Match 15 on Tuesday, October 17 at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala. South Africa are coming into the game having won their previous fixture against Australia by 134 runs. They’re ranked on the third spot on the points table with two wins from two matches having four points to their name.

The Temba Bavuma-led side have been phenomenal in the tournament so far as they’ve beaten both their oppositions comprehensively. They first shattered record books against Sri Lanka by posting the highest total in World Cups (428/5) and won the game by 102 runs. In the second fixture, they blew away Australia by 134 runs and announced them as one of the favourites for the mega title.

On the other hand, the Netherlands are coming into the game having lost their previous match against New Zealand by 99 runs. They began their tournament with an 81-run loss against Pakistan. The Scott Edwards-led side has had a few players who’ve stood up for the team in the first two matches but have lacked the collective team effort.

In the first game, riding on Bas de Leede’s heroics (4/62, 9 overs and 67 off 68), they bundled out Pakistan for 286 but they later got all out for 205. In the second game, they failed to chase down the target of 323 and got bundled out for 223 with Colin Ackerman top-scoring with 69 (73). The upcoming fixture will be crucial for both teams as the Dutch will be eager to get their points on the board while the Proteas will look to continue their dominance.
