The visitors won the first T20I comprehensively by seven wickets and the overcast conditions in Edinburgh set the tone for the second affair. But, most of the viewers might have missed or only got aware during crunch situations in the game, that there was no third umpire in this series.

The two on-field umpires for the second match are Iain McDonald and Ryan Milne. Richie Richardson is the Match Referee and David McLean the reserve umpire.

The lack of an extra eye was palpable within just 16 balls into the game as a potential stumping was to no avail. Brandon McMullen bowled the fourth delivery of the third over to Jake Fraser-McGurk. The ball missed the inside edge and went into the hands of the wicketkeeper as Fraser-McGurk showed some movement. Charlie Tear was quick in his reflex to dislodge the timber and appealed with no rescue at his disposal.
