The forthcoming 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) will have no live broadcast in India. However, passionate followers of the tournament can enjoy the matches at FanCode, an over-the-top streaming service in India. The ninth edition of the PSL is poised to kick off on February 17 and will conclude on March 18. The league is primed to showcase the prowess of top-tier cricketers from across the globe, vying for the coveted title.
Despite the lack of broadcast coverage on Indian television networks, FanCode’s development as the go-to site for cricket fans demonstrates the changing landscape of sports consumption in the digital era. Fancode, the official broadcast partner of PSL 2024 in India, will allow fans watch the matches on Smart TVs, laptops, or mobile devices via the FanCode website and mobile app.
Furthermore, the PSL has been greatly influenced by the financial difficulties the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is facing. This financial hardship may be the reason for the lack of live broadcasts of the league in India. Notably, the women’s exhibition matches, a customary pre-league event, have been cancelled due to financial constraints faced by the cricket board.
