While former Pakistani fast-bowling luminaries, Shoaib Akhtar and Wasim Akram, found themselves utterly irked and vented their frustrations over Pakistan’s six-wicket loss to India at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, former Indian cricketing stalwart and batting maestro, Sachin Tendulkar, evidently uplifted by the favorable outcome, chose to see the lighter side of the situation.

Having personally tasted success on five occasions in the ODI World Cup encounters against Pakistan (1992, 1996, 1999, 2003, and 2011) as a member of the Indian squad, Tendulkar shared his perspective on social media, via a post on his official X handle, likening the recent result to a familiar scenario in a different geographical location. This allusion not only reflected India’s historical dominance over Pakistan in cricket, but also hinted at India’s commanding record over their neighbours in the T20 World Cup, which currently stands at 7-1 in favour of India.

India vs Pakistan. New continent, same result 😛
