Mumbai Indians’ gloveman Ishan Kishan, who has struggled to feature in his true colours in the ongoing IPL 2023, once again failed to deliver an impactful innings in the tournament’s 1000th game played at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Playing against Rajasthan Royals, he fell cheaply, succumbing to the pressure of accelerating the innings as MI had the uphill task of executing the highest successful IPL run chase at the Wankhede.
Chasing 213, Kishan scored 28 runs off 23 balls with the help of four fours before being dismissed by Ravichandran Ashwin. Kishan then hit himself to express disappointment over his untimely dismissal.
