MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli are set to take the field together, probably for one last time, during the all-important Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) versus Chennai Super Kings (CSK) clash on Saturday, May 18.

The M Chinnaswamy Stadium is going to be packed to the rafters on Saturday to witness the clash between two teams desperately seeking a win to make it to the playoffs. However, only one of them will prevail, while the other will have to wait for next season. The iconic Dhoni hasn’t officially announced that Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is going to be his swansong. However, many are expecting that he will make the announcement only after CSK’s last match in the campaign.

Kohli, who made his India debut under Dhoni’s leadership in 2008, said that it would be a wonderful occasion for the fans to see him playing against the legendary wicketkeeper-batter, maybe for the last time.

“For fans to see him (Dhoni) play in any stadium in India is big – me & him playing again, maybe for the last time, you never know – that is a special thing, we had great partnership for India, it’s a great occasion for fans to see us together,” Kohli said while speaking to JioCinema.

Both the revered cricketers have been terrific ambassadors of the sport and fans won’t want to miss the opportunity to watch them on the field on Saturday. However, there is a major rain threat in Bengaluru on the day of the match. Cricket enthusiasts from around the globe would want the rain Gods to show some mercy as they hope to witness an encounter for the ages.
