Royal Challengers Bengaluru are all set to face Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator of the IPL (Indian Premier League) 2024. The winner will play the second qualifier of the tournament, where they will take on the loser of Qualifier 1 for a place in the summit clash of the marquee event.

Earlier in the tournament, Rajasthan Royals registered a dominant victory against RCB as despite a masterful ton by Virat Kohli, star batter Jos Buttler replied with one of his own and won the game for the Royals in style.

As they gear up for a decisive clash, Rajasthan Royals pacer Nandre Burger has opened up about how a sledging battle with Kohli would be fun.

“I don’t think there’s any specific batsman I enjoyed sledging. I just think I enjoy the competitive side of it. But I think during the India series, people thought myself and Virat had a little thing, which we actually didn’t. There was no sledging happening there. It was just staredowns. But I think getting into a little sledging match with him would be quite fun. I think I’d enjoy it,” Burger said in a video shared by Royals.

RR aim to get form back

Speaking of Rajasthan Royals, the side got off to a spectacular start to the IPL 2024 season. The side sat the top of standings for most of the group stage; however, their form took a big hit during the second half of the season as throughout the month of May, Royals could not register a single win. They will hope that the same can change in the do-or-die Eliminator.

The anju Samson-led side finished at third place in the standings in the group stages eventually. Meanwhile, RCB are in red hot form, having been unbeaten in May and on a six-match winning streak.
