Lalit Modi’s story of being a nobody to a billionaire is something worth paying heed to. In a recent discussion, he recounted an episode from 2007 which involved former World Cup-winning Indian legend, Yuvraj Singh.
In a recent discussion, Modi looked back on Yuvraj’s iconic six sixes in an over against England at the T20 World Cup fixture being played at Kingsmead in Durban as well as how the foundation of the IPL was laid due to that historic encounter. He also shed light on gifting Yuvraj a Porsche in exchange for his Hero Honda bat with which he battered Stuart Broad on September 19, 2007.
