Kolkata Knight Riders will host Sunrisers Hyderabad in a rematch of last year’s final. Both teams have just one win from three matches and are currently in the bottom three of the IPL 2025 points table. Notably, the upcoming game will be played at the iconic Eden Gardens, on (Wednesday) April 2.
KKR were swept away by Mumbai Indians (MI) in their last game. Deepak Chahar wrecked the defending champions in the powerplay, while Ashwani Kumar set a record and sent the batting into a spiral. Soon, KKR were bowled out for an under-par total. Ryan Rickelton made a half-century to ace the chase, and Suryakumar Yadav provided the finishing touches.
SRH were similarly left to fight a losing battle in their last game against Delhi Capitals (DC). Mitchell Starc took three wickets in the powerplay, but Aniket Verma kept taking the attack to the bowlers. Kuldeep Yadav then wrecked the middle order, while Starc came back to complete his five-wicket haul. Faf du Plessis scored a fifty in the easy chase, while Zeeshan Ansari fought back by taking three wickets.
