Lucknow Super Giants and Kolkata Knight Riders are facing off in match 28 of the Indian Premier League 2024 on Sunday, April 14. Shreyas Iyer opted to bowl first and aimed to exert pressure on LSG early on. KKR’s fielding did not disappoint as they were mercurial on the field. In one such instance, Ramandeep Singh went horizontal in the air to dismiss Deepak Hooda.

Hooda was batting on eight having faced nine deliveries. He tried accelerating against Mitchell Starc on the fourth delivery of the fifth over. Starc bowled a fuller delivery angling outside the batter. Hooda sliced it towards the square and Ramandeep stationed there plucked one out of thin air. The right-handed batter continued his dismal performance with the bat and departed after a 10-ball stay.

Here’s the video of Ramandeep’s stunner:

Lucknow eye resurgence against KKR

Talking about LSG, they are coming off a defeat against Delhi Capitals. DC were struggling in the tournament but managed to outclass KL Rahul-led side by six wickets. The defeat meant that Lucknow lost two games out of five they have played. They are placed fourth in the points table before coming to Eden Gardens for a tussle against KKR on April 14.

“We walked in with the same kind of mindset, assess what the good areas, what pace works on this wicket and execute as well as we can. We got Warner, and a couple after the powerplay. We were in the game till the 10th over, then a drop catch and then Rishabh-McGurk took it away from us. We fought till the end. McGurk, the new guy when they come in, was very unknown. We’ve watched a lot of videos of him, but he hit the ball really well, credit to him,” Rahul said after the loss to DC at the match Presentation.
