Ahead of England’s three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, spin wizard Adil Rashid shared a valuable piece of advice with youngster Rehan Ahmed, who recently made his white-ball debut for the Three Lions. Following which, he also became the youngest player to make his ODI debut for England.

Now, when the veteran spinner was asked if he has any advice for Rehan, Rashid told the 18-year-old to keep it simple, to express himself and never get afraid to get hit for boundaries.

“Keep it simple as possible. Enjoy the game, enjoy the challenge and really go out there and express yourself. And don’t be afraid of getting hit for fours and sixes,” Rashid advice Rehan before the match as per Sky Sports.

Meanwhile, the experienced leg-spinner also reminded that despite some of the key players like Ben Stokes, Johnny Bairstow and many others are missing from the side, the team has got enough firepower, post the win.

“Our squad of 20 players or whatever is here are all match-winners. We are all positive players, aggressive players. Batters, bowlers, spinners, everything. So, we are here to win the series, we are really here to win,” said Rashid.

Middle order collapsed as England posted 156 runs on board after first innings

Openers Jos Buttler and Phil Salt started the show perfectly but soon after their dismissal, England collapsed under pressure and posted only 156 runs on board in 20 overs. Skipper Buttler played brilliantly, scoring 67 off 42 deliveries, while his opening partner Salt scored only 38 off 35 deliveries.

After they got dismissed, the Bangladesh bowlers made a great comeback into the match as Hasan Mahmud picked up two wickets while the rest of the bowlers picked up one each. Now with the bat, the Shakib AL Hasan-led side lost two quick wickets of Litton Das and Rony Talukdar but still are in the driver’s seat after the powerplay. Batting at number three, Najmul Hossain Shanto is playing some brilliant cricket as the home side is on top of England in the first T20I of the series.
