New ICC chairman Jay Shah commences his tenure with a visit to the headquarters in Dubai. The administrator has set out a vision for the organization going forward. Shah replaced Greg Barclay as the chairman and will be at the helm of the apex cricketing body in the world.
Shah has already had a successful stint with the BCCI and the ACC and will be looking forward to continuing the same. It will be interesting to see how the ICC functions under the new chairman.
Shah visits the headquarters in Dubai
Shah commenced his tenure by visiting the headquarters in Dubai and meeting his fellow colleagues. He described his visit to the headquarters of the ICC and stressed on doing the hard work to bring the vision into fruition.

“While I am encouraged by what I have seen, I recognize that this is just the beginning. The hard work to elevate cricket to unprecedented heights starts now, and I am confident that together, we will deliver on this vision,” said Shah.
These words from Shah have generated confidence among the other officials of the board, which also includes the Deputy Chairman Imran Khawaja.
“Mr Shah’s ambition and experience will be instrumental in guiding the ICC and the sport into the future. It has been a very productive visit for everyone, and we look forward to working alongside him, the Members and ICC team in achieving success,” said Khawaja.
Jay Shah has already made history by becoming the youngest elected ICC Chairman and to see that the other representatives already share the same vision as him and support his plans for the future is a great sign for the cricketing world.
