Problems have arisen in the Pakistan Cricket fraternity as Jason Gillespie resigned as the red ball cricket team coach on Thursday. Another coach had issues with the management of the Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB). Former Pakistan paceman Aaqib Javed to take his place as the interim coach for the side. 

Pakistan without a doubt is one of the most popular teams in International Cricket which has produced some of the most talented cricketers in the world. They will also be one of the hosts of the upcoming Champions Trophy in 2025 as well. However, the recent developments in the team have not been the best so far as there have been some sudden changes in the coaching staff and management of the team.

It was just 2 months ago when former South African cricketer Gary Kirsten resigned from his position as the head coach in the limited overs format having problems with the selection of the squads and it turns out the Pakistan team has a lot more surprises with Jason Gillespie also resigning as the head coach in Test matches after facing some problems with the selection board. It will be former Pakistan pacer Aaqib Javed will be taking his place as the interim head coach. The PCB also stated this issue.

“The PCB has named former Pakistan paceman Aaqib Javed as interim red-ball head coach following the resignation of Gillespie,” PCB statement as quoted by IOL.

The PCB has already started to get a lot of criticism for the way they are managing the team. Javed will now be the 8th head coach for Pakistan in a span of just more than 1 year, With some of the coaches sacked due to poor results and some just resigning like Kirsten and Gillespie due to problems with the board.
