In modern-generation cricket, T20 has emerged as the most common and popular format on account of its swashbuckling character. The Indian Premier League, which happens to be the epitome of firebrand T20 cricket, isn’t any different either. Bowlers are often cleared for fun, having to bear the brunt of the format that has quite literally set itself up as a batters’ game.
In the 31st clash of the tournament against Punjab Kings (PBKS), Mumbai Indians‘ newest pace addition Arjun Tendulkar was hit for as many as 31 runs in an over, as he finished with figures of 3/48 after three overs.
While Arjun’s over emerged as the second worst ever in the history of the tournament for MI, in this article, we will see the top five bowlers from the franchise who have conceded maximum runs in an over.
Here are the most expensive overs ever bowled for Mumbai Indians:
Daniel Sams’ 35 runs against Kolkata Knight Riders in 2022
In the 14th game of IPL 2022 between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians, KKR were chasing 162 runs and with 35 to get in five overs, Pat Cummins smacked five sixes and a four off Daniel Sams to complete the game with four overs to spare. In the process, Cummins also registered the joint-fastest fifty in IPL history.
