Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be taking on Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 35th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The match is set to take place on the 20th of April 2024 at 7:30 PM (IST) at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. It will be the first match of the season to be hosted at the venue. Both teams have some of the best players in their lineup. The home side has the top order which has some great batters like Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, and Jake Fraser-McGurk.
In the middle order, DC has options like Shai Hope, Rishabh Pant, Tristan Stubbs, Abhishek Porel, Yash Dhull, and many others. In the All-rounders department, they have the likes of Axar Patel, Lalit Yadav, Sumit Kumar, and others. The 2020 runner-ups have some good bowlers like Anrich Nortje, Khaleel Ahmed, Ishant Sharma, Mukesh Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, and others in their lineup. In the last 2 matches, these players have stepped up and helped the side to return to winning ways.
SRH has great players too. At the top, they have the likes of Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, Mayank Agarwal, Rahul Tripathi, and Aiden Markram. In the middle order, they have some destructive batters like Heinrich Klaasen, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Abdul Samad, and Glenn Phillips. SRH has some good All-rounders like Shahbaz Ahmed, and Marco Jansen, and some part-timers too. Their bowling unit has some good names like T Natarajan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mayank Markande, Jaydev Unadkat, and Pat Cummins.

Mustafizur Rahman

Mustafizur Rahman was great for SRH in his debut season. The left-arm pacer was the emerging player of the season and helped SRH to win the title with his brilliant bowling. Along with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, he formed a great bowling duo, especially at the death. In total, the Bangladesh pacer played 17 matches for the Orange Army and claimed as many wickets. He averaged 26.76 with the ball and had an economy of 7.15 with best match figure of 3/16.
Rahman was a part of DC in the last few seasons. The star pacer played 10 matches for the 2020 finalists. In as many innings, Rahman claimed 9 wickets at a bowling average of 35.89, at a bowling strike rate of 26.00, at an economy of 8.28. His best match figure for DC was 3/18. He happens to be one of those players who played for both DC and SRH but is representing neither of them in the ongoing season. Mustafizur was picked by CSK in the IPL auction 2024.
David Warner

David Warner has played all his career for only teams – DC and SRH. His career began in DC which lasted till 2013. In 2014, the 37-year-old joined SRH and played till 2021. For SRH, he was legendary. As a skipper, he won them the title. Warner is the leading run scorer for the Orange Army. He totally transformed SRH into a winning side. From 2015 to 2020, SRH qualified for the playoffs every single season. Warner was the skipper in all those seasons barring 2018.
In all those seasons, the Southpaw scored 500 or more runs. The star batter scored 4014 runs in 95 innings at an average of 49.56, at a strike rate of 142.59, including a whopping 40 fifty-plus scored and a couple of hundreds. He re-joined DC in 2022 and has been a part of it since then. The star batter has scored 2549 runs in 87 innings for the side at a batting average of 32.27, at a batting strike rate of 135.80, including 22 fifties and 2 hundreds to his name.
Shikhar Dhawan

Shikhar Dhawan is currently a part of PBKS. The experienced player has been with the side since 2022. In the first few seasons and before joining PBKS, Dhawan played for DC. The star batter has played 63 games for the 2020 finalists and scored 2066 runs so far at a batting average of 38.98, at a batting strike rate of 131.01, including 16 fifty-plus scores to his name. He became the first batter to score back-to-back hundreds in 2020. He is one of the fewest batters to have scored 2000 or more runs for DC.
For SRH, Dhawan played a lot. He was a part of SRH from 2013 to 2019. In the period, the Southpaw scored 2518 runs in 85 matches at a batting average of 34.49, at a batting strike rate of 124.28 including 19 fifty-plus scores. In the IPL 2016, Dhawan scored 501 runs and became instrumental in SRH winning the title. Along with David Warner, the Indian opener formed a great opening partnership and won a lot of matches. He is the second-highest run scorer for SRH in the history of the league.
