Lucknow Super Giants is set for yet another thrilling season of the IPL (Indian Premier League). Before the start of the IPL 2025, the 10 franchises will have to take part in the IPL auction 2025. Ahead of the mega auction, the teams will have to submit their respective retention lists. 

Lucknow will be one of the sides submitting their retentions as well. Ever since the side’s inception in 2022, Lucknow Super Giants have put in good performances in the tournament, but are yet to win the IPL title as of yet. 

Under the leadership of KL Rahul, Lucknow Super Giants have performed well. However, with the IPL title eluding the team, the franchise will hope for a major shake up in their squad and hope to get the best players into their side. 

Lucknow Super Giants have been one of the sides ahead of the retention deadline, whose retentions have been confirmed. With KL Rahul leaving the side, the side has retained the likes of Nicholas Pooran, Mayank Yadav, and Ravi Bishnoi. Pooran has been their top retention, followed by Mayank and Bishnoi.

Letting go of Rahul is a very big decision for the side and finding a like replacement to the star Indian batter could prove to be quite the challenge for the franchise in the auction.
