IPL 2025: Gujarat Titans Retained Players, Released Players and Purse Remaining ahead of Mega Auction

The 2022 winners of the Indian Premier League, the Gujarat Titans, announced their list of retentions and released players on October 31, Thursday, ahead of the mega auction of the 2025 edition.

They couldn’t have had a more rollicking start to their IPL entry. Their first-ever season in the cash-rich league saw them emerge as undisputed champions under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya. The subsequent edition in 2023 was almost a redux, but it was courtesy of a splendid run-chase by the Chennai Super Kings which saw GT lose out on yet another successful effort.

However, it was the 2024 edition in which the going proved to be tough for GT. The all-cash move by Hardik to his former franchise, the Mumbai Indians, saw quite a tumultous campaign for the freshly-instated skipper, Shubman Gill. The Titans could never really match the colossal standards they had set in the preceding seasons and slumped to an eighth-place finish. 

With an altogether fresh season beckoning the franchise, the management would anticipate on bringing in some noval changes in their structure, so as to replicate their success from their inaugural couple of seasons.
