IPL 2025: Best Catch of the Match – Kolkata Knight Riders vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, Match 15

Ajinkya Rahane pulled off a stunning catch to get rid of Ishan Kishan for a low score and leave Sunrisers Hyderabad three down on the first delivery of the third over during Match 15 of IPL 2025 at the Eden Gardens on Thursday, April 3. With that, Kolkata Knight Riders were all over the visiting side.

An uppish drive to covers by Kishan was athletically hung on to by the KKR skipper. The right-handed Rahane sprung to his weaker side to grab the ball with both hands in what was truly a special effort by the 36-year-old cricketer.

Kishan’s dismissal meant Vaibhav Arora scalped his second wicket of the night, having already dismissed the dangerous Travis Head in the first over. The right-arm quick could’ve snagged his third dismissal of the evening in the very same over. However, an uncharacteristic mistake from Andre Russell meant the Sunrisers were spared of losing four of their batters within the first three overs of the run-chase.

Earlier in the evening, KKR registered 200/6 after being sent in to bat first. Venkatesh Iyer top-scored with an enterprising 60-run knock off only 29 deliveries. Angkrish Raghuvanshi was impressive too, impressing with a half-century. Rahane’s 38 (27) was a vital contribution too.
