The Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) mega auction will be held on November 24 and 25. This time the auction will be held at the Abady Al Johar Arena in the city of Jeddah, in Saudi Arabia. A whopping over 1,500 players have registered themselves for the auction and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has added an additional 574 players to the list.

As per the latest developments, an additional three players were added to the list of 574 players earlier prepared by the BCCI. It is worth noting that nearly 1,000 players have missed out on the final list. The three concerned players have been listed under their respective Capped Overseas, Capped Associate and Uncapped Indian categories.

The three players who have been additionally listed are the star England speedster, Jofra Archer, USA pacer Saurabh Netravalkar and Mumbai wicket-keeper Hardik Tamore. It is worth noting that, Archer had previously opted out of the mega auctions and only changed his mind just before the due auction date came near. It was also reported that Archer along with Mark Wood were not provided NOCs by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).

“Mark Wood and Jofra Archer were on the initial longlist for the auction but then weren’t on the shortlist and it turns out by the sounds of it that the ECB have denied them NOCs,” cricket broadcaster Matt Kabir Floyd said on the ‘It’s Not Just Cricket’ podcast.

Netravalkar, Tamore set their base price at 30 lakh

Archer, Netravalkar and Tamore are player numbers 575, 576, and 577, respectively. The trio will enter the auction with base prices of 2 crore for Archer and 30 lakh each for Netravalkar and Mumbai’s wicketkeeper-batter Tamore.
