The IPL (Indian Premier League) 2025 mega auction concluded on November 25 in Jeddah after two days of proceedings. Several superstars were roped in by big franchises ahead of the new season of the tournament. From Arshdeep Singh and Jos Buttler to 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi, every type of player was available for teams to buy in the auction.
Apart from the big names, there were several players who had never represented India in international cricket, but due to their domestic performances, teams got into a bidding battle to secure their services.
Let us have a look at these three uncapped Indian players:
3. Naman Dhir

24-year-old all-rounder Naman Dhir was a player who triggered quite the bidding battle in the IPL 2025 mega auction. For an uncapped player, the player’s base price in the event began at INR 30 lakh. The bidding began with Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians in the mix.
Furthermore, at the price point of INR 1.3 crore, Delhi Capitals joined the bidding battle, followed by Rajasthan Royals as well. In the end, Royals won the bid at 3.4 crore, which saw MI raise the RTM paddle, and Dhir ultimately went to Mumbai Indians for INR 5.25 crore. In seven IPL matches played, Naman Dhir has scored 140 runs and will hope for some more game time in the IPL 2025.
2. Abdul Samad

Abdul Samad was another uncapped Indian player who triggered a bidding battle in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Having shown glimpses of class for Sunrisers Hyderabad in previous seasons, Samad ignited quite the war between franchises as several teams looked to secure his services.
Coming in with a base price of INR 30 lakh, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Lucknow Super Giants showed interest in the youngster. After the price point of INR 1.5 crore, Punjab Kings jumped into the mix as well. In the end, it was Lucknow Super Giants who won the battle for Samad and secured him for INR 4.2 crore. Having played 50 IPL matches, Samad has scored 577 runs and will hope for another good season.

1. Nehal Wadhera

24-year-old Nehal Wadhera also had several sides looking to secure his services in the IPL 2025 mega auction. With 350 runs in 20 IPL matches, Wadhera has often showcased his potential, which was a big reason why the sides looked to secure his services in the mega auction.
With a base price of INR 30 lakh, Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings looked interested in the star. In the end, Gujarat Titans jumped in the mix at the price point of INR 2.8 crore, with Delhi Capitals bidding at INR 4 crore as well. In the end, Punjab roped in Wadhera for 4.2 crore ahead of the new season.
