Ishan Kishan started the IPL 2025 with a bang, scoring a century of just 45 balls against Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad. He scored an unbeaten 106 runs off just 47 balls which included 11 fours and six sixes, and he has been out of the Indian side for a while but if he has a good season in the IPL he can make a comeback to the Indian side. 3. Dhruv Jurel

Dhruv Jurel played the last T20I Series for India against England and was the backup wicketkeeper for Sanju Samson. Jurel has played 4 T20Is for India and has scored 12 runs at an average of 4 and a strike rate of 52. The stumper-batter also struggled to have an impact with RR in the IPL last season and can lose his spot from the Indian side. Kishan, being a wicketkeeper himself, can replace the Agra-born in the side if he manages to revive his form and have a great IPL this season.

2. Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant has been out of the Indian T20I side for quite some time. His T20I record also has not been good, having scored just 1209 runs in 76 T20I matches at an average of less than 23 and a strike rate of 127. His last T20I Series was against Sri Lanka in 2024 and has not been able to get into the T20I side ever since that tour. If Kishan manages to get an overwhelming season with Sunrisers then it might be a challenge for Pant in T20Is to get back in the side with already plenty of spots sealed.

1. Riyan Parag

Riyan Parag made his T20I last year against Zimbabwe. He has played 9 T20I matches for India and has scored 106 runs at an average of 17.66 and the highest score of 34. Kishan is flexible in terms of his batting order, and may well be suited to replace Riyan Parag in India’s middle-order. Parag, who bats in the lower middle order can find his spot in danger if the southpaw makes a comeback to the Indian side.
